The 68 year old French businessman began his career as a civil engineer and gained control of his family company, Groupe Arnault.

Bernard Arnault oversees an empire of 70 fashionable brands including Bulgari, Louis Vuitton, Dom Perignon and Sephora. The French billionaire is the chairman and CEO of LVMH, which is the largest luxury goods company in the world.
5. Mark Zuckerberg
Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest of the world’s top billionaires at the age of 33. He ranked fifth with the net worth of $71 billion.
A Harvard dropout founded Facebook in 2004 at the age of 19, then he took Facebook in public in 2012. The biggest social media platform which was first begun on college campuses, now has more than 1.2 billion users. The company is now worth $400 billion.
6. Amancio Ortega
Amancio Ortega is a Spanish self-made billionaire and is one of the richest man in Europe and the wealthiest retailer in the world ranked sixth in the world’s richest persons list by Forbes with the net worth of $70 billion.
He is best known for founding Inditex fashion group, which includes Zara clothing stores with his ex-wife Rosalia Mera in 1975. He owns about 60% of Madrid-listed Inditex, which has 8 brands, including Massimo Dutti and Pull & Bear, and 7,500 stores around the world.
7. Carlos Slim Helu
Mexican business tycoon Carlos Slim Helu is the richest person in Mexico and he owns more than 200 companies in industries ranging from banking to retail to telecommunications.
He ranked seventh in the Forbes richest persons list 2018 with the net worth of $67.1 billion. His influence extends outside of Mexico as well. He also owns stakes in Mexican construction, consumer goods, mining and real estate companies and 17% of The New York Times.

Charles Koch, 81, is the CEO, Chairman and co-owner of Koch Industries, America’s second largest private company, since 1967.

9. Larry Ellison
The 72 year old billionaire co-founded his software company Oracle, the world’s most popular database in 1977. He gave up the Oracle CEO role in 2014 but still serves as chairman of the board and chief technology officer. Oracle moved into hardware with its 2010 acquisition of Sun Microsystems for $7.4 billion.
